Toddler swimming lessons

Gentle 30-minute lessons for little ones from age 3, at your condo pool. Water confidence first, with never more than three toddlers per coach.

When can my toddler start?

Ideally from three years old. Younger than that, lessons focus on water confidence rather than actual strokes, so three is when structured lessons start to pay off. Every child is different, so if you're unsure, tell us about your little one and we'll advise.

What toddler lessons are like

Toddler lessons are 30 minutes, short enough to hold a small child's attention. The focus is on feeling safe and happy in the water: getting in and out, blowing bubbles, floating with support and kicking.

Classes are capped at three toddlers, so every child gets the coach's attention throughout the lesson.

If your toddler is scared of water

It's common, and it's fine. From young, parents can help by carrying their child in the water and playing simple games. The best way forward is building water confidence slowly, which is exactly what toddler lessons are designed to do.

Why your own condo pool helps

A familiar pool, familiar faces nearby and no long journey before the lesson mean a calmer toddler.

How toddler lessons build up

Early lessons are about comfort: getting in and out of the pool safely, getting the face wet and floating with the coach's support. As confidence grows, toddlers start kicking and gliding, the same building blocks older children use for every stroke. When they're ready, they move on to 45-minute kids' lessons and the SwimSafer stages.

Questions parents ask

How old should my child be to start?

Ideally three years old. Any younger, and lessons focus more on water confidence than on the actual strokes. It depends on each child.

Coach Ben answers
My child is afraid of water. How do we help them?

Every child is unique and starts off differently. As a parent, you can carry them in the water from young and play simple games. The best way is to build their water confidence, or you can enrol them in our lessons.

Coach Liying answers
Do lessons go ahead when it rains?

Usually, yes. We still continue our lessons, because the kids are wet anyway. The no-go is lightning. We always want to keep lessons continuous, because we don't want to hold back your child's progress.

Coach Liying answers
How often are lessons, and how long until my child can swim?

Classes are usually once a week, at a fixed time slot. How long it takes really depends on the child, but with consistent weekly lessons they'll learn to swim in the shortest time possible.
